Machine Operator – CNC & Laser Operations

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Machine Operator to become an integral part of our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is responsible for operating a range of CNC equipment, managing raw material storage, and ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Working in a modern manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in producing quality sheet metal components while helping keep our workshop organised and productive.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating CNC laser cutter

• Setting and operating turret punch press

• Setting and operating CNC lathes

• Operating CNC bandsaw

• Selecting and preparing raw materials for production

• Organising and maintaining raw material storage

• Monitoring machine performance and product quality

• Performing routine machine maintenance

• Reading engineering drawings and work instructions

• Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives

• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

• Has experience operating CNC manufacturing equipment

Skills & Experience

Ideally you will have:

• Experience operating CNC laser cutters and turret punches

• Experience with CNC lathes

• Experience operating CNC bandsaws

• Ability to read engineering drawings

• Forklift licence

• Experience using measuring equipment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Good computer literacy
