SUPERVISOR / ASSISTANT MANAGER – BUSINESS SERVICES – BRISBANE CBD – FAST-GROWING MID-TIER INTERNATIONAL FIRM (JOB ID 1649)

Our client is a fast-growing Brisbane-based member firm of a leading international accounting network operating across 150+ countries. With a strong Business Services division, the firm delivers tailored accounting, tax and advisory solutions to SMEs, family groups and complex entities, with a focus on practical outcomes, client relationships and long-term financial strategy. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor or Assistant Manager to join a high-performing Business Services team, managing your own client portfolio while supervising and developing junior accountants. You will work closely with Managers and Partners across a wide range of compliance and advisory engagements in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. 

The Role: 

• Manage a portfolio of SME and complex clients across companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and SMSFs 

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns 

• Prepare BAS, IAS and FBT returns across multiple client structures 

• Supervise, review and support a team of accountants 

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff 

• Liaise directly with clients to manage queries and deliver high-quality service outcomes 

• Work with Managers and Partners on advisory, structuring and compliance matters 

• Support workflow management and engagement delivery across the team 

• Contribute to internal training, development and technical knowledge sharing 

• Maintain strong compliance standards, accuracy and documentation quality 

About You: 

• 5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice / Business Services 

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business 

• CA or CPA qualified 

• Strong technical knowledge across tax, compliance and financial reporting 

• Experience supervising or reviewing work of junior accountants 

• Confident client communication and relationship management capability 

• Strong organisational and time management skills 

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment 

• Proactive, professional and solutions-focused approach
