Production and Packaging Projects Coordinator

Blu Estate Reporting to General Manager, you will plan and administer defined production and packaging projects from commencement through to completion. You will coordinate internal staff, packaging suppliers, designers, contractors, equipment providers and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones, budgets, documentation and compliance requirements are met.

This is a project-coordination position and is not primarily a production-line, packing or general office-administration role. Task & responsibilities Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones and action registers. Coordinate packaging-development and production-improvement projects. Liaise with bottle, closure, label, carton and equipment suppliers regarding project specifications, samples, pricing and delivery milestones.

Coordinate the introduction of new products and packaging formats into production. Assist with packaging trials, equipment installation, commissioning and process-improvement projects. Arrange project meetings and maintain minutes, decisions, responsibilities and follow-up actions.

Monitor project expenditure, supplier deliverables, risks, delays and variations. Coordinate contractors, consultants and other external project participants. Maintain project records, specifications, approvals, payment records and compliance documents.

Collect and analyse project data and prepare progress, budget and outcome reports for management. Support food-safety, traceability, labelling and packaging-compliance projects in consultation with relevant technical advisers. Escalate project risks and matters requiring management attention.

Implement approved project decisions and monitor corrective actions. Conduct project close-out reviews and document lessons, outcomes and opportunities for improvement. Qualification & experience AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Project Management, Business, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related discipline.

At least one year of relevant experience coordinating production, packaging, food-manufacturing or business-improvement projects. Experience maintaining project schedules, budgets, records and status reports. Experience coordinating suppliers, contractors and multiple stakeholders.

Strong organisational, analytical and written communication skills. Ability to manage competing deadlines and follow projects through to completion. Competence using project-management and standard business software.

Experience in food or beverage manufacturing is desirable. Knowledge of bottles, closures, labels, cartons or other food-packaging materials is desirable. Experience coordinating packaging trials or equipment installations is desirable.

Familiarity with food-safety, product-traceability and labelling requirements is desirable. Experience supporting new-product launches, certification or systems-implementation projects is desirable.
