Rug Washing Technician

RugWash Brisbane is a professional rug washing company established in 1957 specialising in the traditional cold-water washing of natural and synthetic fibre rugs. We are currently on the look-out for a suitable candidate to join our small team as a rug washing technician, and to assist in the collection and delivery of rugs from customer’s properties. This role would best suit someone with a history in carpet or rug cleaning, who is looking to expand on their existing skill set and enjoy the benefits of reduced time out in the field.  

This role will require you to inspect, photograph, measure, vacuum, wash, rinse, dry, spot-treat, brush and roll rugs and identify rug compositions, as well as safely operate specialist machinery and mix and apply chemicals.

To successfully fulfil the requirements of this role, you must be:

• Consistently punctual.

• Observant and have terrific attention to detail. 

• Genuine and consistent in your work ethic.

• Confident in addressing customer queries and complaints.

• Physically fit for the purpose of lifting heavy rugs.

• Accepting of health and safety practices and willing to apply these as required.

• Of an affable disposition, as communication with customers and colleagues in a professional and friendly manner is vital.
  

Basic details:

• Full time: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (occasional Saturday work may be offered).

• Brisbane Southside location – Richlands.

• Current, valid driver’s licence required (auto or manual).

• Weekly pay-cycle.

• Branded polo shirts will be provided as part of your employment. Plain coloured, knee-length shorts or pants and clean sandshoes/sneakers to be provided by you.

Foundational knowledge within the carpet/rug cleaning industry can and will be built on, so if you have strong fundamental knowledge or a history within this field, we welcome your application.
