What you'll be doing:
• Create and continually refine and update the technology reference architecture for Client
• Lead brainstorming sessions during Ideation & Discovery phases to develop solutions for business needs or technology problems
• Part of a high-performance front running team producing high-level & detailed solutions designs
• Work closely with product and delivery teams to develop scalable solutions and products
• Work closely with software engineering teams in the design and development of the platform.
• You think strategically and see the big picture. You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable with multiple stakeholders, including the engineering team, the product team and the senior leadership team.
• Work closely with product & project managers, designers, engineers, and stakeholders to drive collaboration throughout the design process
• Have a good understanding of working in an agile delivery environment
• Define and implement appropriate IT, data protection and security policies, and ensure full compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Leverage and build on Client's existing design system, design principles and customer centric design process
• Give and solicit feedback from others to increase product quality
What you should have:
• 5+ years in a lead engineering role with preferred Solution Architecture experience & a university degree in IT or equivalent
• A software engineering background, ideally you are strong in Python, JavaScript and the design and development of RESTful API's.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, and an innate ability to think outside of the box.
• A passion for working directly with business, product managers and developers, drawing on expertise to collectively create terrific user experiences
• An overwhelmingly positive attitude, with strong communication, presentation and listening skills
• This position is suited for people who have a strong technical skills and creativity, ability to work in start-ups / small teams who genuinely want to grow the company, their teams and their own career.
• Highly organised with an ability to multi-task, prioritise and work efficiently in a fast-paced agile environment
• Financial Services industry experience is desirable but not essential.
