Experienced Baker / Cake Baker – 30+ Hours | 5am Starts

About the role

Rosalie Gourmet Market is looking for an experienced commercial Baker / Cake Baker to join our team in Paddington. You'll be responsible for producing a range of fresh, high-quality baked goods for our gourmet deli, working confidently in a busy commercial kitchen. This role is available with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a range of fresh, high-quality baked goods for our gourmet deli, including cakes and celebration cakes

• Prepare sweet slices and other baked goods

• Perform cake icing and decoration

• Create products catering to gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan dietary requirements

• Follow recipes and maintain excellent consistency

• Prepare products efficiently to meet daily production requirements

• Maintain high standards of presentation and quality

• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety requirements

About you

• Minimum 2 years' professional/commercial baking experience

• Proven experience baking and icing cakes

• Good practical baking skills and attention to detail

• Experience working with gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan products

• The ability to work efficiently and independently

• A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene

• Reliable availability for 5:00am starts. No evenings. Day time shifts, usually finishing prior to 2pm.

• A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a small, hardworking team in a family run business

• Experience in a bakery, patisserie, gourmet deli, café, restaurant or similar premium food environment will be highly regarded
