The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Lawyer to join our respected Personal Injury team in our Wollongong office. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner looking to build their career across a broad range of personal injury matters while working alongside experienced and supportive practitioners.
Key responsibilities will include:
Direct liaison with clients and providing accurate and timely advice
Managing a diverse caseload of personal injury matters
Preparing court documents, correspondence and settlement materials
Attending court appearances, mediations, conciliations, conferences and settlement negotiations
Conducting legal research and preparing advice
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Successful candidates will have:
A valid NSW Practising Certificate
A minimum of 1-2 years' PQE, ideally with experience in personal injury law
Strong knowledge of personal injury legislation
Exceptional client care skills, with the ability to engage empathetically and sensitively with vulnerable clients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong client relationship and business development skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and a busy caseload
