Goldfields Controlled Waste is a leading waste services provider in the Goldfields region, delivering high‑quality services to local communities and the mining industry. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Yard Hand/Operator to join our Kalgoorlie team.

About the Role

You will support daily activities including truck loading, bin movements, yard housekeeping, and general operational assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering and picking up bins all types 

• Client interaction

• Storeroom duties and re-stocking

• Crib room and bathroom cleaning

• Painting bins and stencilling signage 

• Unloading/loading freight

• Cleaning vehicles 

• General yard works

• Portaloo cleaning 

• Liaising with management

• Assisting fitters with parts pickups and deliveries  

• Following all safety protocols and contributing to a safe, compliant work environment

 Skills & Experience

Essential:

·        Valid Forklift Licence

·        Valid HR Truck Licence

·        Strong commitment to safety and team‑based work

Preferred:

·        Previous experience as a Yard Hand or in a similar operational role

Before You Apply Are You

·        A Kalgoorlie-Boulder Local (no outside applications will be considered) or willing to relocate.

·        You must have the legal right to work in Australia.

·        GCW is a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol workplace.

·        A pre-employment medical assessment is required (paid by the company).

·        A National Police Check will be required (paid by the company).
