Disability Support Worker - Caboolture

We are currently seeking a gentle, kind-hearted, and reliable Support Worker to support a lovely client based in Caboolture. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide meaningful, person-centred support to someone living with a psychosocial disability.

In this role, you will be providing companionship and social connection, assisting with light domestic duties to maintain a clean and comfortable home, and supporting the client with community access, including attending appointments and outings. The focus is on creating a calm, supportive, and positive environment.

Our client is a sweet and kind individual who values respectful interactions, consistency, and a very clean living space. Building trust and a genuine connection will be key to success in this role.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, and gentle in their approach, with experience or confidence supporting individuals with mental health or psychosocial disabilities. A strong attention to cleanliness and pride in maintaining an organised environment is essential.

It is also important that you love dogs, as the client has three adorable pugs who are very much part of the household.

We’re looking for someone who

· Can remain calm, supportive, and grounded when our client becomes talkative or moves quickly between thoughts.

· Understands trauma-informed practice and can maintain emotional safety and predictability.

· Is reliable, non‑judgmental, and patient.

Shifts available - 7 days per week 10am-2pm

It's not all on you though, as you will have support in this via a dedicated QSSS Support Specialist as well as training provided by experiences Support Workers and a Behavioural Support Practitioner who can assist you in ensuring you are absolutely set up to have an awesome time with this person.

QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $35.66, Evening $38.30, Night $39.33, Saturday $48.65, Sunday $62.62, Public Holidays $76.38 - (sorry, rate not negotiable). 

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency of Clients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

• To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered

• Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist

• Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs

• Provide support to our Clients as required

• Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner

• Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required

• Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients

• To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

• Resonate with the role description above

• Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia

• Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card

• Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
