Registered Psychologist

PsychWest is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join our team in Midland, WA for approximately three days per week.

We’re looking for a strong generalist who is comfortable working with adults, children and adolescents across a broad range of presentations. The ability to work confidently with more complex presentations and to assess and manage clinical risk is important for this role.

Experience working with couples would be highly regarded. Experience conducting psychological assessments would also be useful, but is not essential.

There is some flexibility around the days worked.

• Providing evidence-based psychological therapy to adults, children and adolescents

• Working with a broad range of presenting concerns and levels of complexity

• Assessing, formulating and managing clinical risk

• Developing individualised treatment plans based on client needs and goals

• Maintaining high-quality clinical documentation

• Liaising with GPs, referrers and other professionals where appropriate

• Participating in clinical consultation, supervision and team meetings

• Working within PsychWest’s clinical governance framework, policies and procedures

• Maintaining professional, ethical and regulatory standards

• General registration as a psychologist with AHPRA

• Experience providing psychological therapy to adults, children and adolescents

• Confidence working with a varied caseload, including more complex presentations

• Sound clinical judgement and risk assessment skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to work collaboratively and seek consultation when appropriate

• Experience working with couples would be highly regarded

• Experience in psychological assessment would be an advantage, but is not essential

• Previous private practice experience would be beneficial

• A part-time position of approximately three days per week, with some flexibility around days
