Team Leader Justice Programs

As Team Leader – Justice Programs, you will oversee the delivery of community-based youth justice services across the Barwon and Colac regions, supporting positive outcomes through early intervention, culturally safe practice, and evidence-informed approaches. This is an opportunity to combine leadership, program oversight and practice expertise to help young people build safer, stronger futures.

As a Team Leader – Justice Programs, you will:

• Lead and support a team delivering youth justice programs, ensuring high-quality, client-centred and culturally safe service delivery.
• Provide supervision, guidance and case management support to staff working with young people and families at risk of, or involved in, the youth justice system.
• Oversee program performance, compliance, reporting and funding requirements while contributing to continuous service improvement and program development.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for positive client outcomes, manage complex cases, and promote evidence-informed practice across the service.

• Part-time, Ongoing position
• 0.78 FTE working 30 hours per week
• $125,021 (pro-rata) p/a + Super & Salary Packaging

We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation with a demonstrated compliance in work practices
• Sound working knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance in relation to Youth Justice Services.
• Demonstrated experience providing positive leadership and supervision with a focus on support, risk management and accountability of a team within a complex service delivery environment.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the organisation and externally.
• Highly developed communication skills with an ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively in both written documents and verbal interactions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop processes and systems to improve the quality of service ensuring sustainability of service activity.
