Business Development Associate / Manager

The Role

We're looking for a driven and well-networked Business Development Associate / Manager to join as an early hire and help grow the broker distribution channel nationally.

You'll act as the face of the business in the market, building and deepening relationships with mortgage brokers, aggregators, and referral partners to generate a consistent pipeline of high-quality lending opportunities.

This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with ambiguity, and is energised by being part of something being built in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, onboard, and grow relationships with brokers and referral partners
• Manage and convert an active deal pipeline across a range of lending products
• Work closely with credit and internal teams to ensure deals are efficiently packaged and progressed
• Leverage internal AI and automation tools to enhance BD activity and client engagement
• Provide market feedback to leadership to help shape product offering and strategy

About You

• Proven track record in a BDM or lending-focused business development role within private credit, non-bank lending, or mortgage broking
• Established network of brokers, aggregators, or introducers that can be activated quickly
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and articulate complex lending structures
• High level of ownership and accountability, someone who wants to build, not just maintain
• Comfortable operating in a small, fast-moving team environment
• Willingness to work in an office-based setting with some flexibility
• Australian PR or Citizen - Sponsorship is not an option
