Electrician or Electrical Apprentice Required For Pool Equipment Repairs

About the role

Aquamech Services is seeking a qualified Electrician or Mature Aged Electrical Apprentice to join our team on a casual basis working 5 days per week. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in the pool equipment repair and maintenance industry, providing essential electrical services to keep aquatic systems running smoothly. Based in Dutton Park on Brisbane's southside, you will be contributing to the reliable operation of pool equipment whilst gaining valuable hands-on experience in a specialised field. This is an ideal role for those looking to develop their electrical expertise in a practical, service-oriented environment.

What you'll be doing

• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults and writing reports for a range of chlorinators and other related pool and pump equipment

• Fault finding and testing of electrical circuits and circuit boards

• Customer Service

• Repairing, reconditioning and testing all of the above equipment

• Helping in removing and reinstalling existing and new pump and pool equipment on site when required for both domestic and commercial customers

• General workshop clean-up duties

• Maintaining detailed records of work completed and parts used

• Working safely, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

What we're looking for

• Current electrical licence or apprenticeship registration with the relevant Queensland authority

• Sound knowledge of electrical principles, circuitry and safety procedures

• Ability to work for a minimum of 6 months

• Competent in using hand and power tools e.g. drill, grinder etc

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Mechanical experience would also be an advantage but not essential
