Trade Assistants

CrewSELECT is currently seeking experienced Trade Assistants for multiple opportunities across Brisbane, Logan, Darra and the Gold Coast.

We have a range of workshop, mechanical, steel fabrication and site installation roles available. Whether your background is in mechanical works, fabrication, construction or workshop environments, we want to hear from you.

What’s on Offer

• $40–$42 per hour + penalties
• Travel allowances available on selected projects
• Immediate starts available
• Monday–Friday hours across multiple locations
• Ongoing and project-based opportunities

Current Opportunities

• Mechanical TA – Gold Coast: Assist Mechanical Fitters with wastewater treatment plant rebuild works.
• Workshop TA – Loganholme: Grinding, cutting, drilling, material handling and general workshop support.
• Steel Workshop TA – Darra: Forklift operation, steel handling, beam line/band saw operation and trade assistance.
• Installation TA – Brisbane: Install architectural handrails, balustrades and metalwork across commercial and residential projects.
• Additional Trade Assistant opportunities available across our client network.

About the Roles

Depending on your experience and tickets, duties may include:

• Assisting qualified tradespeople with installation, maintenance and workshop works
• Operating hand and power tools, grinders, drills and cutting equipment
• Loading, unloading and handling materials and components
• Operating forklifts and workshop machinery where qualified
• Maintaining safe, clean and organised work areas

What We’re Looking For

• Previous Trade Assistant, workshop, mechanical, fabrication or construction experience
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable, hardworking and comfortable working within a team
• Relevant tickets such as White Card, Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space or Overhead Crane are highly regarded depending on the role
