About the role
Overview:
The National Antimicrobial Utilisation Surveillance Program (NAUSP) is a major national initiative which resides within the Specialist Services Section, Communicable Disease Control Branch (CDCB), SA Health. Under the direction of the Senior Project Pharmacist, Antimicrobial Programs, the Antimicrobial Surveillance Pharmacist Officer contributes to the development, maintenance and application of the program. This involves liaison with, and education of, data contributors, conducting quality assurance on data submission, data analysis and production of surveillance reports. The incumbent may be required to coordinate specified projects as required. The incumbent also contributes to the improvement in antimicrobial use in Australian hospitals by supporting the initiatives of the Antimicrobial Use and Resistance in Australia (AURA) surveillance program, of which NAUSP is a key program member.
