About the role
As the world's largest trade book publisher, Penguin Random House is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Digital Credit Controller to join our Finance team on a permanent part-time basis (25 hours per week). Reporting to the Credit Manager ANZ, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, supporting cash collection activities, and processing digital customer sales feeds. This position offers an excellent opportunity to further develop your credit control career while working closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will contribute to the effective management of accounts receivable, support healthy cash flow outcomes, and help drive efficient credit processes across the business.
Key responsibilities
Manage the digital debtor's ledger, including account reconciliations and account maintenance.
Respond to customer queries via phone and email.
Process debtor journals, receipts and credit control documentation.
Monitor customer accounts.
Resolve and escalate customer disputes as appropriate.
Process digital customer sales feeds, including raising invoices and credits and reconciling sales data against contracted terms.
Prepare reports relating to debtor management and digital sales feed processing.
Maintain customer account records and establish new accounts as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support broader team objectives.
About you
Previous experience in a customer service, Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or similar finance role.
Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to analyse information, identify issues and make sound decisions.
A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Experience working with digital customers, credit management systems or ERP platforms will be highly regarded.
