We are currently seeking an experienced Yardman to join our diverse team on a casual basis. The Yardman role is responsible for loading, unloading, organizing and maintaining the yard.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, the key responsibilities of this role as however are not limited to the following:

• Loading/Unloading using a forklift and moving freight and materials throughout the yard into trucks, containers etc.
• Organising the yard and incoming and outbound of freight and trucks coming into the depot
• Maintaining high safety standards and adhering to load restraint guidelines.
• General maintenance of the yard
• Providing support to the wider team as required

The desired candidate will obtain the below skills and experience:

• LF license essential
• Solid experience loading and unloading trucks
• Experience within the transport industry or demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines and be highly organized
• A proactive attitude, a high degree of initiative and a positive approach
• Is a Team Player and sees the value in supporting their peers wherever possible
• Reliable and always punctual

Please not this is a casual position working Monday to Friday, however there is potential for the role to allow for additional hours and permanency in the future.
