Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Senior Project Officer to join their team.

Support and drive the implementation of the Western Sydney City Deal and the coordination of significant projects in the Western Parkland City by providing strategic and operational support and oversight, as well as working closely with stakeholder from the three levels of government, industry, and community to achieve the agreed outcomes for the Western Parkland City.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee project planning, development and implementation for City Deal and other relevant projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, meeting and reporting requirements, and supporting project-related activities, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage stakeholders and ensure project deliverables are met.
Monitor and evaluate the program and strategies including risk and contingency management, to identify and address, or escalate where necessary, issues to support their timely resolution.
Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning, best practice, and decision making.
Provide advice and information to stakeholders on emerging project issues and to support project development and delivery in line with established plans, budgets, timeframes, policy objectives and other project and priorities.

Selection Criteria:

Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience and training
Strong experience and experience managing and supporting projects.
