Store manager- ladies fashion

The Ark is opening a brand-new store in Norwood, South Australia, and we are looking for an experienced and passionate Store Manager to lead this exciting new location.

The Ark is an established Australian fashion retailer known for its curated fashion, exceptional customer service and strong connection with its customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fashion retail leader to be part of a new store opening and help establish the team, culture, customer experience and sales performance from day one.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will take ownership of the new Norwood store and play a key role in its successful launch.

You will lead by example, build and develop a high-performing team and create a store environment where customers receive exceptional service and team members are motivated to achieve their best.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading and motivating a new retail team.

• Supporting the pre-opening and launch of the new Norwood store.

• Driving sales and achieving store budgets and KPIs.

• Delivering an exceptional and personalised customer experience.

• Building strong relationships with new and existing customers.

• Leading by example in sales, styling and customer engagement.

• Coaching and developing team members to achieve their potential.

• Recruiting, onboarding and training the store team.

• Managing team performance and providing regular feedback and coaching.

• Creating effective rosters and managing labour in line with business requirements.

• Maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation.

• Ensuring stock control, stock management and stocktake procedures are completed accurately.

• Managing store administration and operational requirements.

• Ensuring Company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements are followed.

• Supporting new season launches, promotional activity and VM changes.

• Communicating effectively with the Regional/State Manager and wider management team.

• Identifying opportunities to grow sales, develop the team and build the store's customer base.

We are looking for an experienced fashion retail leader who:

• Has proven experience as a Store Manager, preferably within fashion retail.

• Has a genuine passion for fashion, styling and customer service.

• Is a confident and engaging leader who enjoys developing people.

• Has a strong sales and commercial focus and enjoys achieving targets.

• Leads from the front and is confident coaching a team on the shop floor.

• Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Is proactive, energetic and resilient.

• Can confidently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Takes ownership and demonstrates initiative.

• Is confident using POS, rostering and retail systems.

• Understands the importance of stock control, VM and store standards.

• Is flexible and available to work across a retail trading roster, including weekends.
