Project Manager Mechanical Plumbers (Off the tools Role)

Airconic is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for an immediate start to join our growing team.

This is an off-the-tools role focused on managing multiple projects from commencement through to completion. The successful candidate will work closely with builders, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Projects range from smaller commercial works around $50K through to large-scale mechanical projects exceeding $2 million, so the ability to manage a variety of project sizes and demands is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple commercial HVAC projects simultaneously

• Coordinating labour, subcontractors, and materials across projects

• Carrying out regular site visits and attending site meetings

• Monitoring project timelines, budgets, and progress

• Problem-solving and resolving on-site issues efficiently

• Liaising with builders, consultants, suppliers, and clients

• Reviewing plans, shop drawings, and project documentation

• Maintaining strong communication with site teams and office staff

We are seeking a candidate with experience in the following:

• Commercial mechanical/HVAC projects

• Project management or foreman experience within the HVAC industry

• VRV/VRF systems

• Refrigerated systems including wall hung, cassette, and ducted systems

• Solid duct and ventilation systems

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination

The successful candidate should hold the following:

• Relevant trade qualifications and/or industry experience

• Current Victorian driver’s licence

• White Card

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

• Good problem-solving abilities

• Professional presentation and leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
