Overview of position

As our IT Support Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for technical support while helping maintain and improve Vaxxas’ IT environment. This varied role combines hands-on troubleshooting, user support, technology coordination, and involvement in IT projects that help enable our innovative biotechnology operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support for employees across the business via phone, email and ticketing systems.
• Log, track and resolve support requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network and device issues.
• Assist with the setup, configuration and maintenance of laptops, monitors, printers and other IT equipment.
• Coordinate and prioritise support requests with our Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Support the smooth operation of meeting room technology and other business-critical IT systems.
• Contribute to IT improvement initiatives and projects as required.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to internal stakeholders.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Help Desk, Service Desk or IT Support role.
• Relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365 and general desktop support.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
