About the opportunity
The University of Sydney is seeking a Project Officer, Digital Communications to join the Charles Perkins Centre (CPC), a globally prestigious multidisciplinary initiative dedicated to tackling society's greatest health challenges in diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease and other related conditions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and digitally savvy communications professional to help shape and deliver the Centre's digital and social media strategy during a period of strategic transformation, with the possibility of extension subject to funding and business needs.
You will work closely with the Communications Manager, Chief Operating Officer, Academic Director and key stakeholders across the Centre to develop engaging content, strengthen digital engagement, and identify innovative opportunities across a broad range of communication publication styles, including social media, web, video and emerging platforms. A key focus of the role is reviewing and uplifting the Centre's digital communications approach as part of a broader strategic refresh.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
develop and deliver engaging content across digital, social media, website and video channelssupport the review and implementation of the Centre's digital and social media strategycoordinate and maintain website and intranet content to ensure accuracy and relevanceproduce high-quality communications for internal and external audiences across multiple platformsmonitor analytics, audience engagement and content performance to inform continuous improvementidentify emerging trends, technologies and content formats that enhance digital engagement and reach.
About you

a relevant degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and professional experienceexperience producing engaging digital and social media content for diverse audiencesstrong understanding of digital communications, social media trends and audience engagement strategiesexcellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detailexperience using content management systems, digital platforms and analytics toolsstrong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, a diverse group of key stakeholders and build strong working relationshipsprevious experience within a large multifaceted organisation and/or a research organisation is highly desirable but not essential.
