Retail/Reception Assistant

About the role
We are seeking a Retail/Reception Assistant to join our team at Visual Q Eyecare in South Yarra, VIC 3141. This is a part-time role, offering 7-14 hours (1-2 days) of work per week, Monday - Friday.  You must be able to work Mondays and Wednesdays.
 

Responsibilities

• Reception: greeting clients, scheduling appointments, answering queries in person, online, and over the phone, and processing sales

• Optical Dispensing: assisting customers with glasses selection and performing minor repairs (training will be provided)

• Cleaning: stock replenishment and general shop upkeep (cleaning frames, vacuuming, countertops)

• Assisting: assisting the optometrist as required

What we're looking for

• Genuinely passionate about building rapports with our longstanding patients and providing excellent customer service

• Strong communication skills and telephone manner as much of your role will include answering customer queries

• Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize tasks on busier days, but also an ability to keep yourself busy on slower days

• Attention to detail and enjoy cleaning/tidying merchandise

• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, etc.

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is preferred
