About the role
The HMA Group of Companies manufactures, sells and services a wide range of capital plant and equipment to a diverse range of industries. This includes oil & gas, petrochemical, mineral processing, water management and power generation. Our customers are the major process industries in the region.
Based in Bayswater, HMA Geotechnical has a range of services which includes manufacture, calibration, repair, field service and commissioning of both electronic and mechanical instrumentation for the Mining, Civil and Hydro sectors.
We are expanding and looking for a dedicated person with relevant experience to assist within our factory to solder custom length instrumentation cables to relevant pressure sensors utilised in the Geotechnical industry.
To be successful in the role it is essential you have a can-do, proactive approach to your work. Working in a team environment, good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure will be an advantage.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation of instrumentation cables, including stripping and tinning.
Soldering of cables to instrument solder terminals
Testing of completed sensors utilising factory diagnostic equipment
Completing relevant HMA Geotechnical QA paperwork and issuing of test certificates.
Also depending on factory workload:
Basic wiring of data acquisition control panels
Assisting other team members with other instrumentation manufacture/assembly.
Potential to grow and learn all aspects of factory assembly process based on demonstration of technical skills.
Must have the following
Experience in soldering of electronic components/wiring looms
Permanent working rights in Australia
Hold a current drivers licence
This is a permanent position in our Bayswater factory working from 07:30 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 14:00 Friday (38 hours) We do not work shift hours or weekends. Immediate start available to the successful candidate.
