About the role

AGL | Perth Energy is looking for a University Graduate to fill the Business Sales Executive position that has recently become available in the team. As a Business Sales Executive, you'll generate and execute B2B gas and electricity sales through the provision of accurate and timely information, provide advice and proposals to prospective and existing SME & Large customers on energy products and options that meet their business needs.

You'll align to AGL | Perth Energy's retail strategy and meet associated procedural, commercial and compliance requirements. You'll support the timely and effective resolution of customer queries, issues and complaints in an appropriate manner to support customer satisfaction, acquisition and retention. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent graduates looking to launch their career in sales, and the team strongly encourages graduate applications.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead Generation - Partner with the Business Sales Manager to drive sales growth across targeted customer segments by identifying new opportunities, fostering customer engagement, and executing effective sales strategies that contribute to a balanced and sustainable retail customer base.
  
• Business Account Acquisition - Identify, contact and acquire new business with target SME and large business customers in accordance with retail strategy and KPIs through cold calling, client visits, tender responses and utilisation of warm leads.
  
• Account Management & Renewals - Undertake all aspects of account management and customer relations for designated/acquired account portfolio, instigating and maintaining ongoing communication with customers at the appropriate time to minimize risk of churn or customers being out of contact.
  
• Issue Resolution - Investigate, resolve/refer and respond to customer questions, issues and complaints in a timely, sensitive and professional manner, pre-emptively identifying and managing issues relating to unexpected charges, shortfalls, churns, late payments and disconnections.
  
  

What you'll bring:

• A degree (or near completion) in Commerce or Business
  
• Previous demonstrated experience working across sales and/or customer service.
  
• Strong commercial acumen and numeracy skills
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to convey information about energy products
