Rollingstock Maintainer

Location: Esperance

Remuneration/Benefit:  Remuneration and other employment conditions in accordance with the current EA.

Working as part of the Aurizon Esperance Rollingstock Maintenance team, you will be required to exercise your mechanical skills in servicing, repairing and maintaining rollingstock to ensure the efficient running of freight services. No formal qualifications required!

Please note: This role currently operates on an 8-hour morning shift roster. As business requirements evolve, there may be a future need to introduce afternoon shift arrangements.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting routine corrective maintenance and fault repair on wagons.
• Reporting on actual work performed against the scheduled work program.
• Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications.
• Progressing the implementation and application of work procedures and practices to support continuous quality improvement.
• Supporting other WA maintenance depots in accordance with the EA.

About you:

• Strong commitment to safety.
• Current unrestricted WA driver's licence.
• High level of knowledge of equipment functions, defects and fault-finding.
• Experience in the repair, maintenance and overhaul of machinery will be highly regarded, although not essential.
• Training provided as required.
