Site Engineer (Owner’s Representative) Renewable Energy

Yindili Recruitment is seeking a Site Engineer to join the client-side advisory team on a major solar and battery project near Bungendore, NSW.

You will work closely with the site team to monitor construction activities across civil works, solar installation, battery storage and grid connection works. Your responsibilities will include completing inspections, maintaining site records, monitoring progress and reporting on safety, quality and construction issues.

This is an advisory position representing the client’s interests on site. The role does not have any direct reports.

To be considered, you will need:

• A relevant Engineering qualification, preferably Electrical

• Around three to five years of relevant site experience

• Experience in energy, utilities or major infrastructure

• The ability to read and interpret drawings and construction documents

• Strong written reporting skills and attention to detail

• A White Card and current driver’s licence

Experience with solar farms, battery storage, substations or high-voltage works will be well regarded. Candidates with a Mechanical Engineering background may also be considered.

This is an approximately 12-month, full-time site contract, working Monday to Friday. The preferred start date is early September 2026. You will need to live locally or be willing to relocate to the Canberra or Bungendore area.
