About the role
The Role
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Team Leader to oversee and guide a small dynamic team within Defence Learning Branch. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, priorities and workflow ensuring the team meets its goals and maintaining a positive and collaborative working environment.
You will act as a mentor, driving performance, supporting professional growth and resolving challenges that arise. Your leadership will be key in aligning the team’s activities with broader Directorate and Branch objectives, optimising efficiency and ensuring quality outcomes. You will play an essential part in developing and implementing new initiatives and continuous improvement processes.

Defence Learning Branch enables the development and delivery of corporate training and learning and development to support the Defence Mission. Through a collaborative approach, we adopt innovative, contemporary learning solutions, technologies, principles, and approaches to optimise the learner experience. We invest in the growth and development of our most important asset, our people.
The Professional Education Programs team sits in the Defence Learning Branch and supports Defence personnel to gain professional qualifications that contribute to Defence capability. Our work ensures the Defence workforce is ready to meet current and future challenges. We enable learning through a range of education assistance schemes and academic programs. Our focus is to be agile and innovative in delivering a positive customer experience that supports professional growth and quality education schemes and academic programs that support Defence’s mission.
