Liverpool Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Neurosurgery and Plastics Ward, contributing to a high performing surgical team that manages complex trauma and tertiary referrals. Lead education in a dynamic 30 bed neurosurgery and plastics ward, supporting nurses who care for patients with highly specialised needs. Strengthen advanced clinical capability across procedures such as External Ventricular Drain (EVD) management, lumbar drain care, and tracheostomy management. Drive excellence in multidisciplinary team nursing, shaping a culture of collaboration, shared learning, and high quality patient care. Champion patient safety and continuous improvement, applying improvement science to elevate clinical practice and outcomes. You thrive in fast paced surgical environments and bring confidence in neurosurgical and plastics nursing practice. You’re an adaptable and collaborative educator, able to tailor your teaching to diverse learning needs and clinical situations. You bring strong clinical expertise, particularly in managing EVDs, lumbar drains, and tracheostomies. You’re committed to patient safety and continuous improvement, with a mindset that embraces innovation and evidence based practice. You understand clinical policies and guidelines deeply, and can translate them into practical, effective education for nursing staff. You’re passionate about developing others, fostering a supportive learning culture that lifts capability across the whole team.

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHDWhat interests you to join the Neurosurgery and Plastics Ward at Liverpool Hospital, and how do your skills and past clinical or educational experiences prepare you to contribute meaningfully as a Clinical Nurse Educator in this environment?
