Bayside Diesel Services is looking for an experienced, reliable and organised Office Administrator to join our busy heavy vehicle repair and manufacturing workshop in Dandenong.

This is a hands-on and varied position suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day running of a business. You'll work closely with management, our workshop team, customers and suppliers to help keep everything organised and running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Answering incoming calls, emails and customer enquiries

• General office administration and data entry

• Preparing customer quotes and invoices

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable

• MYOB processing and bookkeeping

• Payroll processing

• BAS preparation

• Following up outstanding customer accounts

• Maintaining accurate customer and supplier records

• Stock control and ordering

• Liaising with suppliers and organising deliveries

• Supporting management with general administration

• Assisting with workshop scheduling and job administration

• Filing and document management

• Occasional local parts collection and deliveries

To be successful in this position, you'll ideally have:

• Previous office administration experience

• Strong MYOB experience – essential

• Experience with payroll

• Accounts payable and receivable experience

• BAS preparation experience

• Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Good organisational and time-management skills

• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a busy environment

• Ability to work independently and use initiative

• A professional and friendly manner

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

Experience within the heavy vehicle, automotive, transport, mechanical, manufacturing or trade industry would be highly regarded.

• $35-45 per hour + Super, depending on experience
