Sales Associate and all rounders

The Bike Place is looking for an energetic and dependable Retail All-Rounder to join our growing team in our Port Kennedy superstore.

This is much more than a traditional retail sales position. You’ll help customers find the right bikes, parts and accessories while also contributing across the wider business. Depending on the day, you could be serving customers, processing stock, merchandising products, assembling bikes, organising deliveries or helping the team keep the store running smoothly.

Casual hours are available, with the opportunity for up to 38 hours per week for the right person. Full-time and longer-term career opportunities are also available to retail superstars.

You will:

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.

• Ask the right questions and recommend suitable bikes, products and solutions.

• Build genuine, lasting relationships with customers and local riders.

• Process sales and assist with general point-of-sale duties.

• Receive, organise and merchandise stock.

• Help maintain an inviting, well-presented and organised store.

• Learn basic bike assembly and assist with building bikes when required.

• Support local customer deliveries and other day-to-day store operations.

• Work closely with the team wherever help is needed.

• Holds a current driver’s licence.

Previous retail or customer-service experience will be highly regarded, but cycling-industry experience is not essential. We would rather hire someone with the right attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn than someone who believes they already know everything. If you are passionate about bikes, that is fantastic; if you are new to cycling, we will provide training.
