About the role
Advantage Access is seeking a GIS Specialist to support the identification, assessment and origination of land opportunities for major renewable energy, transmission, digital infrastructure and utility projects across Australia. This role is focused on geospatial analysis, landholder intelligence, site screening and mapping to support land assembly and project development activities. Working closely with Land Assembly Leads, Landholder Engagement Officers and project development teams, you will play a critical role in identifying suitable project locations and providing the spatial analysis that underpins project origination and delivery. The GIS Specialist will contribute to projects across renewable energy, transmission infrastructure, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), data centres, water infrastructure and other major development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
Conduct geospatial analysis to identify suitable locations for renewable energy, transmission, digital infrastructure and utility projects.
Gather, manage and analyse relevant spatial datasets, including environmental constraints, transmission infrastructure, planning overlays, land tenure information, aerial imagery and other project-relevant data.
Support site identification and origination activities through desktop analysis and mapping.
Maintain and expand Advantage Access's landholder and property intelligence databases.
Produce high-quality maps, reports, presentations and visualisations to support client projects and internal decision-making.
Assist with landholder research and property ownership investigations.
Prepare landholder presentation materials and project mapping packs using company templates.
Support Land Assembly Leads and Landholder Engagement Officers by providing GIS analysis and property-level intelligence.
Maintain GIS databases and ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency.
Contribute to project due diligence and assessment activities across multiple states and jurisdictions.
About you
Strong GIS and spatial analysis capabilities.
Demonstrated experience using Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS online.
Ability to collect, manage, analyse and visualise spatial datasets from public and private databases.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.
Have the legal right to work in Australia.
Provide a clear National Police Check, with any offer of engagement being subject to a satisfactory outcome.
