SDN Newtown is seeking a compassionate and relationship-focused Educator to join our Preschool team in a dedicated Inclusion Support role. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who enjoys supporting children with diverse strengths and needs, building meaningful connections with families, and working alongside an experienced and collaborative team.

About The Role

This maximum-term part-time position (Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week) is funded and is based in our preschool room.

This will include:

• Support children to participate fully in the educational program, daily routines, and social experiences
• Foster a sense of belonging, safety, and emotional wellbeing for all children
• Promote positive behaviours using responsive and respectful approaches
• Work closely with educators, families, and specialists to support children's individual needs
• Assist in creating engaging learning environments that encourage curiosity, confidence, and independence
• Implement inclusive practices that benefit the whole group while supporting individual children
• Contribute to observations, documentation, and planning aligned with the EYLF and NQS
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families through open and respectful communication

About You

Previous Inclusion Support experience is highly regarded but not essential. We welcome applicants who are eager to learn and grow in this rewarding area of practice.

You will have the following:

• Holds a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Genuine passion for inclusion, child wellbeing and relationship- based practice.
• Experience in inclusion support desirable (not essential)
• Brings warmth, empathy, patience, and strong emotional intelligence
• Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a positive team culture
• Has experience supporting children's emotional, social and developmental needs
• Demonstrates effective communication and relationship-building skills with children, families and colleagues
• Holds a current NSW Working With Children Check, First Aid and Child Protection training
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
