Regen Health Clinic
About the role
New Graduate Physiotherapist — Caringbah
Most physios are taught that the job is finished when the pain stops. We think that's roughly where it starts.
Here's the position you'd be signing up to, stated plainly: getting someone out of pain returns them to the exact condition they were in when they got injured. Nothing about their capacity has changed. It's the same body that failed six weeks ago, which is a large part of why they'll be back in six months.
If that reads as obviously true to you, keep going. If it sounds like overservicing, we're genuinely not the clinic for you, and that's fine.
About Regen Health
We're an evidence-based physiotherapy and performance clinic in Caringbah, rated 5.0 by 70+ locals. Owner-operated, and deliberately built as one continuous facility instead of a row of treatment rooms:
• A fully equipped gym with an indoor running track
• Infrared sauna, ice bath and compression boots
• Treatment rooms that open straight onto the gym floor
That layout isn't a perk we tacked on. It's the method. We take people through four stages, and the building is organised around them:
Assess. Work out what's actually going on, and why.
Restore. Settle the acute pain, get range of motion back, get them comfortable. Hands-on lives here.
Rebuild. Build capacity to well above where they started. Not back to baseline. Past it.
Regenerate. Hold that capacity and get them properly back into their life.
Most clinics stop somewhere in stage two, because stage two is where the pain goes away and stage three needs equipment they don't have. We're set up so you never have to stop there.
The role
A genuinely mentored new-grad position working directly alongside the clinic owner. You won't be one of twelve. You'll be the second physio in the building, which means the person teaching you is in the next room, not in another suburb.
You'll see the full spread: necks and spines, shoulders, knees, sciatica, tendinopathy, post-op rehab, workers comp, and the weekend-warrior damage the Shire reliably produces. Desk workers who've been quietly organising their week around a back that flares. Older adults whose real fear is losing independence. Athletes who want to know how many good years they've got left.
Hands-on treatment, dry needling, cupping and taping, then load them properly in the gym and take them all the way through.
What every clinician here is expected to be good at
This is our actual internal standard, not a wishlist:
Sound diagnostic ability. Know what you're looking at.
Genuine hands-on skills. We use them, we just don't stop there.
Getting the patient to understand why it matters. If someone doesn't understand the reason for an exercise, they won't do it. That conversation is part of the treatment, not an extra.
Respecting the flow from physio into strength work. Knowing when hands-on has done its job and it's time to load.
A real understanding of exercise, and of what this particular person can currently do, and what they actually want back.
You won't have all five on day one. Nobody does. But that's what we'll instil in you.
Three things we don't do
• Passive treatment on its own. No heat packs and electrotherapy.
• Cookie-cutter exercise with no reasoning behind it.
• Handing over a program without explaining why progression matters.
What we commit to
• Weekly 1:1 mentoring. Protected time, every week, with the owner. Real case review, not a corridor chat.
• A deliberately reduced caseload to start. Longer appointments and fewer patients a day for your first few months, so you have room to think.
• In-house training. Regular hands-on skills sessions and case-based teaching.
• Ownership of your own treatment plans. Supported, not supervised into paralysis.
You'll suit this if
• You hold AHPRA registration, or will before you start
• You're comfortable in a gym. You can coach a hinge, a squat and a press without googling it
• You're willing to have the harder conversation with someone who wants to stop the moment they feel fine
• You ask questions instead of guessing
• You want to help build something, not just fill a diary
We don't care what your GPA was.
Hours and pay
Fully flexible. Full-time or part-time, days negotiable.
Clinic hours: Mon-Thu 8am-7pm, Fri 8am-3pm, Sat 8am-1pm
$75,000-$90,000 + super depending on hours and experience, moving to a percentage of billings once you're ramped, usually around the six-month mark, so your income grows with your book.
Free run of the gym, sauna and ice bath.
To apply
Email your CV to ••••@regenhealth.com.au with a short note answering one question:
Think of a patient you treated on placement who got out of pain. What would you have done with them next, if you'd had another eight weeks and a gym?
Three honest paragraphs beat a cover letter template. Start date: September 2026. No agencies.
