Sexual Violence Systems Navigator

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sexual Violence Systems Navigator to support individuals navigating the justice system and accessing the services they need to achieve positive outcomes. This rewarding role involves working with vulnerable community members, providing information, advocacy and referrals while helping clients understand their rights and responsibilities.

The Sexual Violence Systems Navigator will work collaboratively with community organisations, service providers and stakeholders to ensure clients receive timely and appropriate support. Key Responsibilities

• Support clients to understand and navigate justice and legal processes.
• Provide information, advocacy, referrals and practical assistance.
• Build positive relationships with clients, stakeholders and community services.
• Connect individuals with appropriate support programs and resources.
• Maintain accurate case notes, records and reporting requirements.
• Promote client rights, wellbeing and equitable access to services.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
• Contribute to a trauma-informed, culturally safe and client-centred service environment.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Sound computer literacy and experience maintaining records.
• An interest in community services, justice, social welfare or domestic and family violence support.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and community support services is desirable.

Essential Requirements

• Current NSW Driver Licence.
• Current National Police Check.
• Working with Children Check.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.

Desirable Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Services, or a related field. (or willingness to obtain if required)
• Experience working within community services, justice, domestic and family violence, or support services. (or willingness to obtain if required)
• Knowledge of local community resources and referral pathways. (or willingness to obtain if required)
