About the RoleWe are currently seeking Disability Support Workers to support a participant on the Gold Coast. The participant requires support from someone who is patient, respectful and considerate of her religious and cultural beliefs.This position is for day, afternoon, sleepovers and active night staff, meaning you will remain awake for the duration of the shift while providing ongoing support, monitoring and assistance as required.We're looking for someone who is:
Calm, proactive and able to take initiativeKind, reliable and dependableA strong communicatorComfortable working independently overnightAttentive, observant and able to respond to changing support needs
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide active overnight support and monitoring throughout the shiftAssist with personal care and overnight routines as requiredRespond promptly to participant needs during the nightMaintain a safe, calm and supportive environmentComplete accurate documentation and detailed handover notesReport any incidents or concerns in line with company procedures
RequirementsPrevious disability support experience (active night experience highly regarded)Qualification in Disability, Individual Support or Community Services (preferred)Current First Aid & CPR CertificateCurrent Working with Children Check (Blue Card)Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card)Current National Police CheckStrong written and verbal English communication skillsCurrent driver's licence and reliable transport (preferred)Compassionate, patient and positive attitude
