Osteopath

About the role

You will provide osteopathic assessment and treatment to older clients in their homes, helping them maintain mobility, independence and quality of life. Where possible, clients are grouped geographically to create practical and efficient patient runs and minimise unnecessary travel. A typical day would include approximately 6 patients, depending on location and availability around Oakleigh, Dandenong, Berwick, Kew, Templestowe, Ringwood

Key responsibilities

• Provide osteopathic assessment and treatment to older clients receiving support through Support at Home and aged care programs across metropolitan Melbourne
• Work with approximately 6 patients per day
• Build a regular community caseload as the client base continues to grow

– Demonstrated experience working with older people, aged care, community care or Support at Home clients.

About you

• Current AHPRA registration as an Osteopath
• Experience working with older people, aged care, community care or Support at Home clients
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Current National Police Check
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
• Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Understanding of the Support at Home program requirements and aged care sector standards.
• Appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
• Confidence working independently in a community setting
