Be the face of Simply Helping in the Brisbane South community

Simply Helping has been providing in-home care and support across Australia for over 28 years. Simply Helping South Brisbane is locally owned and operated, providing aged care, NDIS and private support to help people remain safe, independent and connected in their own homes.

We're looking for a confident and personable Community Engagement Officer to help us build stronger connections across Brisbane South.

This isn't a desk-based marketing role. You'll be out in the community, meeting people face-to-face, introducing Simply Helping, building genuine relationships and making sure local organisations know who we are and how we can help the people they support.

This isn't about hard selling. It's about building trust, creating genuine connections and keeping Simply Helping front of mind when someone needs support.

What you'll be doing

Your main focus will be community outreach and relationship building, including:

• Visiting Support Coordinators, Aged Care Case Managers, Allied Health professionals and community organisations across Brisbane South to introduce Simply Helping and build ongoing relationships
• Representing Simply Helping at expos, networking and community events
• Hosting pop-up information kiosks at shopping centres and community locations
• Representing the business at external engagements when required
• Following up and maintaining relationships with stakeholders you've met
• Identifying new opportunities to increase Simply Helping's presence in the local community
• Keeping simple and accurate records of visits, conversations and follow-ups
• Providing feedback on what you're hearing in the community and where you see opportunities

You'll work from a structured weekly outreach plan, but you'll also have the freedom to use your initiative and identify opportunities yourself.

Who we're looking for

This role will suit someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people and isn't afraid to walk into an organisation, introduce themselves and start a conversation.

You'll be:

• Confident, friendly and naturally good at building relationships
• Comfortable approaching new organisations and people face-to-face
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in the community
• Professional, reliable and organised
• A strong communicator who can explain our services without using a hard-sell approach
• Comfortable representing Simply Helping independently at stakeholder visits and community activities
• Results-focused and willing to take ownership of the role

Previous experience in NDIS, aged care, disability, community services, stakeholder engagement or business development would be highly regarded.

If you already understand the NDIS or aged care sector, or have existing professional networks within it, we'd particularly like to hear from you.

What you'll need

• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle, as regular travel throughout Brisbane South is a key part of the role
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
• Working with Children Check / Blue Card
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Australian working rights
