About the role
We’re seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our team at Global Retail Brands! We currently have two positions available in Support Office - salt&pepper and Concessions.
This role plays a critical part in driving merchandise strategy through accurate forecasting, in-depth analysis, and strong inventory planning to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
You’ll work closely with Buyers and Planning teams to deliver commercial outcomes across sales, profit, and stock, while supporting seasonal strategy, in-season trading, and end-to-end planning processes.
What you’ll be doingSupport seasonal range reviews through detailed performance analysis and SWOT insightsDevelop weekly sales, profit, and stock plans within the Strategic Sales Plan (SSP)Build purchase and stock flow plans aligned to buying strategies and lifecycle needsAnalyse category performance to support store grading and ranging decisionsManage in-season trading, ensuring sales and gross profit outcomes are optimisedMonitor inventory positions across DC and stores to maximise availability and efficiencySupport markdown and stock optimisation decisions to minimise margin erosionProvide analytical insight to support Buyers in decision-making and range strategy
What we’re looking forExperience in Merchandise Planning or Demand Planning within retailStrong background in forecasting, budgeting, and in-season tradingAdvanced Excel skills with strong numerical and analytical capabilityExperience working with merchandise systems (Pronto highly regarded)Strong understanding of retail stock flow, lifecycle planning, and category managementCookware or hard goods experience highly desirableConfident communicator who can influence buyers and stakeholders
