Our client is a long-established and highly regarded accounting practice located in a thriving Central Queensland regional centre. Due to the Principal's planned retirement, the firm is seeking an experienced public practice professional to join the business as part of a structured succession plan leading to Partnership. 

The practice services a diverse portfolio of agribusiness, agriculture, mining, family business and private clients throughout the region and has built a strong reputation for providing trusted advisory, taxation and business services over many years. 

This opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to work alongside the current Principal during the transition period, develop strong client relationships and ultimately assume a leadership position within the firm. 

The Role: 

• Work directly with the current Principal as part of a structured succession plan 

• Manage and develop relationships with agribusiness, rural and regional business clients 

• Provide taxation, business advisory and strategic planning services 

• Assist clients with succession planning, business structuring and growth initiatives 

• Lead client engagements and act as a trusted advisor to business owners 

• Mentor and develop team members 

• Participate in practice management and leadership responsibilities 

• Contribute to the long-term growth and direction of the firm 

• Progress toward Salaried and/or Equity Partnership 

About You: 

• Principal, Director, Associate Director or Senior Manager within a public practice accounting firm 

• CA or CPA qualified 

• Strong business services and advisory experience 

• Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead teams 

• Commercially minded with an interest in regional businesses and agribusiness clients 

• Seeking a genuine succession and partnership opportunity 

• Interested in living and working within a regional Queensland community
