Accounts Payable Analyst

Purpose and Impact:

The Accounts Payable Clerk performs the day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that municipal finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Work Schedule:

Day shift – 5 days per week, 8 hours per day

Essential Responsibilities:

Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services to eventual processing in SAPManagement of site cash and float requirementsManaging the workflow of USD invoices through local approval and CONUS processing/paymentManagement of site cash and float requirementsPreparation of weekly and month end journals to corporateProvides a variety of administrative and date entry servicesReviews wires/invoices and allied tasks, as per daily planningAssists with improving AP processes in all areas of assigned responsibilities and timely report any issuesProvides document management support to the department as requiredEnsure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplaceAny other reasonable duties as requested

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

The position is desk based and sedentary in nature, the ability to lift items up to 5kgs may be required occasionally and participating in Site walks occasionally

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Basic understanding of accounts payable functions2 years of related work experience in the accounting fieldStrong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholdersExperience with MS Office operating system with extensive skill using spreadsheet & data base applicationsManage workloads effectively including adapting to changes, planning, organizing and prioritizing work

Security Clearance Required:

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a minimum of NV1 Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or Secret (U.S.) clearance.
