• Permanent Part-time position with 14 hours per week, working Sunday & Monday from 6:30am to 2:00pm

What’s the Role?

As our Chef, you’ll be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious and home-style meals that our residents look forward to each day. Working independently within our village kitchen, you’ll ensure meals are prepared to a high standard while maintaining food safety, cleanliness and compliance at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing nutritious home-style meals and desserts in line with the village menu.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Managing kitchen stock, storage and rotation to minimise waste.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment.
• Completing food safety and kitchen compliance records.
• Building positive relationships with residents while providing friendly, professional service.
• Following all food safety, WHS and infection control requirements.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• A Trade Qualification in Commercial Cookery.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certification.
• Experience preparing nutritious, home-style meals.
• A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• The ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative village team.
• A caring, friendly and professional approach when interacting with residents.
