Quality Control (QC) forms part of Financial Crime & Fraud Operations (FCFO) and is responsible for conducting quality reviews across the AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud, and scam operations environment.

A critical line of defence, the function protects the Bank and our customers from regulatory, reputational, and operational risks. We support consistent, high-quality, and defensible operational outcomes by reviewing processes to ensure compliance with established frameworks and standard operating processes, while driving continuous process improvement and operational alignment through strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

In particular you will be:

• Supporting uplift in operational capability through knowledge sharing, procedural guidance, onboarding support and assistance with complex quality reviews and suspicion determination matters.
• Providing day-to-day technical guidance and operational support to analysts and team managers across Quality Control.
• Promoting consistency of review methodologies and supporting uplift in quality control outcomes across Financial Crime & Fraud Operations.
• Supporting continuous improvement, calibration and capability uplift initiatives across Quality Control teams.
• Building strong working relationships across Financial Crime & Fraud Operations and the broader enterprise.

This is a permanent full-time position ideally located at one of our corporate head offices in Adelaide, Melbourne or Bendigo. 

To succeed in this role you will have:

• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience within Financial Crime including AML/CTF regulations, sanctions requirements, fraud and scam operational practices, financial crime typologies and operational controls
• Strong technical and operational expertise across quality assurance and review activities, including the ability to support analysts with complex review outcomes, suspicion determination matters and operational decision making.
• Ability to provide coaching, technical guidance and operational support within quality assurance and financial crime operational environments.
• Ability to support capability uplift, onboarding, calibration or technical guidance activities within operational environments is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Tertiary qualification in relevant field and / or Financial Crime Industry qualification i.e. ACAMs, AFCS preferred
