Heavy Diesel Mechanic – Maddington Workshop | Contract Until December

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics for a contract opportunity based in Maddington, working both within the workshop and travelling with loads to and from site as required.

This role will involve maintenance, repairs, and servicing across a fleet of trucks and heavy plant equipment, supporting ongoing project and operational requirements through to December.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintenance, servicing, and repairs on trucks and heavy plant equipment

• Fault finding and diagnostics

• Breakdown support and preventative maintenance

• Workshop and field-based mechanical work

• Supporting transport/load movements to and from site

• Completing work safely and efficiently to company standards

Requirements:

• Australian recognised Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification

• Experience working on trucks and heavy mobile plant

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability

• HR licence highly regarded

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Commitment to workplace safety

• Willingness to travel with loads to and from site when required

Desirable tickets/licences:

• Forklift ticket

• Working at Heights

• Confined Spaces

• Rio Tinto, BHP or FMG inductions (advantageous)
