Workshop Production Manager

We are a CC2 steel fabrication business located in Cooroy specialising in structural steel and metalworks fabrication and installation as well as BIM services and Industrial blasting and painting.  We have a huge pipeline of won work so we are searching for an experienced & motivated Workshop Production Manager to ensure our teams are operating safely, efficiently and with hustle!

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all staff as the number one priority

2. Lead, supervise & support our workshop team of ~30 employees across both Structural and Metalworks Sheds to ensure production plans are achieved and problems are managed and solved

3. Schedule & manage distribution of drawings and workflow to ensure a timely turnaround of deliverables as per the production plan to achieve customer targets

4. Oversee the QA teams across structural, metalworks and paint to ensure optimal quality outcomes are delivered first time, every time with minimal rework

5. Liaise with the Welding Supervisor to ensure staff are trained on weld procedures and have the appropriate skills and training to deliver the work

6. Liaise with internal and external customers and colleagues to provide updates on production and performance targets, obstacles and requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in a similar role and industry leading operational teams in a construction environment

• Excellent leadership & communication skills

• Strong organisational & problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail, out game is one on millimetres!

This role will be based at our purpose built factory in Cooroy which is 3500m2 as well as the metalworks sheds which are 200m away.
