Role Description The Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Sacred Heart is a part-time position based in Sydney, NSW in a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Data Analyst will assist with collecting, cleaning, and organizing datasets from various sources to support business reporting and decision-making. The position involves performing basic statistical analysis, building simple data models, and generating visualizations or dashboards under guidance from senior team members. The Data Analyst will be expected to document methodologies, prepare clear summaries of findings, and communicate insights to stakeholders in an accessible manner. Additional responsibilities include supporting ad hoc analysis requests, maintaining data quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on data-related projects.QualificationsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data trends and patterns.Foundational knowledge of data analytics and experience working with datasets or business intelligence tools.Basic understanding of statistics, including descriptive measures and introductory inferential concepts.Familiarity with data modeling concepts and an interest in learning database or data warehouse structures.Effective communication skills, including the ability to present data findings clearly to non-technical audiences.Proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and introductory exposure to analytic tools or languages (e.g., SQL, Python, or R) is beneficial.Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn in a structured, entry-level environment.Relevant coursework or a degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
