The North Richmond Bistro is highly regarded as being one of the leading hotel bistro's in the Hawkesbury and is operated by a team with over 20 years in the district's dining scene. Our collaboration in the redevelopment of the historic North Richmond Hotel has been an overwhelming success and an exciting step in our journey to provide a quality and affordable dining experience.

The bistro opens for lunch and dinner sessions 7 days per week, excluding public holidays.  Shift rosters are flexible to accommodate reasonable personal needs

About the Role

We now have a vacancy for a Qualified Chef to join the team. Our menus are a fresh take on classic bistro offerings enhanced by contemporary Australian restaurant items.  Regularly reviewed to maintain interest and adjusted for seasonal factors.  Specials which give our chefs the opportunity to shine are a regular feature.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Food preparation, cooking and presentation

• Work within a team to assist in planning menus and special offerings

• Monitor stock and orders

• Support the training and development of team members and apprentices

• Participate  in regular team and performance reviews to continuously improve the business

About You

We are looking for someone who cares about good food and the customer experience and who can work in a happy and relaxed team environment.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Chef in an appropriate setting is required

• Experience in preparation, cooking, grill, fryers and plating

• Demonstrable compliance with Food Safety Standards

• A good team member who is reliable and flexible to work under pressure

• Full Australian working rights are essential for this role
