Skylight Installation Assistant

About the role

Daylight Artistry is a family-owned business specialising in the installation of skylights and ventilation systems across Canberra and surrounding regions. We're looking for a reliable, hardworking Installation Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role working alongside our experienced installers, assisting with installations on residential and commercial properties.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with skylight and ventilation installations
• Working alongside our experienced installation team
• Loading and unloading tools, equipment and materials
• Setting up and packing down job sites
• Assisting with roof and ceiling work
• Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
• Following workplace health and safety procedures
• Providing professional and respectful service while working in customers' homes

About you

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Enjoys practical, hands-on work
• Comfortable working at heights and on roofs
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Positive attitude and willing to learn
• Takes pride in their workmanship and presentation
• Works well as part of a team
• Can follow instructions and use initiative
• Holds a current Australian driver's licence, White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica cards
• Previous experience in construction, roofing, carpentry, skylight installation or another trade environment would be highly regarded, but isn't essential for the right person
