Our Biodiversity Licensing and Programs team is currently seeking expressions of interest for a Project Officer to support assessment of impacts to biodiversity and work across a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to regulation of activities that may harm native species and habitat. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised professional to play a key role in licence application assessment, project planning, coordination, reporting and stakeholder engagement within the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
The team has been newly established to provide a consolidated approach to regulating biodiversity management and will be overseeing significant and exciting reforms. The role offers opportunity for input in assessment of the licensing functions while supporting the successful delivery of priority programs.
Working within a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will partner with internal stakeholders and contribute to projects that deliver meaningful environmental and community outcomes across NSW.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.
