What you’ll do:Reporting to the Head of Property, the primary role of the Facilities Supervisor is to execute in-house repairs & maintenance with a hands-on and proactive approach. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of industry standards & codes, product warranty guidelines & general construction experience to liaise with relevant parties in the actioning of work order requests. Liaising with residents, on-site teams, and property management agencies in a professional manner to ensure valid maintenance requests are addressed and closed out efficiently will be a key accountability for this role. You will possess excellent organisational skills, and a passion for creating inclusive and accessible living spaces. The Facilities Supervisor will also be responsible for the on-site management of all of Vertika’s contracted suppliers.
Liaise with the building residents and on-site teams to maintain a high level of professional service and ensure all facilities are to the highest operational levels. Respond to any activity or issue that may be presenting risk, safety, or security issues to other users of the building and manage to mitigate or minimise. Coordinate all service contracts/contractors, ensuring performance and schedule is kept, and identify areas for improvement. Build relationships with Support Coordinators, OPG representatives, families, and participants to support tenancy sustainability.Weekly reporting on accurate and up-to-date records of property maintenance, inspections, and relevant documentation. Complete condition reports for new properties where required. Drive external contractor compliance within the Vertika business, including reviewing SWMS, Insurances etc. Identify cost-effective solutions for property maintenance and improvements while maintaining high-quality standards. Review contractor quotes and invoices and provide expert advice against.
What we’re looking for:Strong NDIS knowledge, with hands-on PRS experience.Demonstrated experience in all aspects of property maintenance and a commitment to deliver reliable, efficient, and seamless services to the business. Property management, facilities management, building and construction, or relevant industry experience. Experience in undertaking projects and coordinating trades people. Knowledge of Commercial and Residential property leasing transactions is desirable.
